That Sky Blue Stationery was conceived in 2004 with the main objective to create "eco-sensible" stationery that is still beautifully designed and beautifully printed. Focusing on letterpress printing was an obvious choice for owners Litsa Babalis and Ana Duque. It took all of 10 seconds before they fell in love with this historic printing method.
The 1920's three ton cast iron machine they first purchased was love at first sight. With a little love and attention they had this beautifully engineered mechanical machine running and producing the most breath taking letterpress cards they had ever seen and they have never looked back.

Using materials that have as little impact on the environment as possible was key to That Sky Blue's long-term commitment to sustainability.

Tree-Free Paper
That Sky Blue uses 100% cotton rag paper, which means that there are absolutely no trees used in the paper making process; in fact the cotton is recycled remnants of the textile industry. Millions of pounds of trim waste are generated every year and instead of sending these trimmings to landfills, they are used to create the luxuriously soft paper That Sky Blue uses in all their Social Greetings, Weddings, Baby and Completely Custom letterpress stationery lines.

Vegetable-Based Inks
That Sky Blue also uses 100% vegetable-based inks instead of petroleum-based inks which helps reduce toxic emissions and hazardous air pollutants in their work environment. In addition, the vegetable based inks are easier to "de-ink" - This is especially important for recycling paper. Vegetable-based inks are predominately made from non-toxic soybean oil, which is also a renewable resource.

LOVE
Each and every piece is printed with 100% LOVE. LOVE is a key ingredient to their success; it's a renewable resource and they're not afraid to use it.
